Dear Mother & Dad

Just a line in answer to your letter pleased to say we are still about the same with the exception of a touch of the teeth acking I think I shall have it out I should like to wait till I go on my leave before having it done we had two parcels to-day one from Annie & one from Amy's people everything was fine you can bet we are looking forward to yours hope we get it safe . Alf told us in his letter that Len had made his home with him ive expected that as he was there quiet as much as any other place, how did he make out up West I hear it wasn't such a bad harvest after all. Well Mother & Dad I was very sorry to hear about Teds father dying the day before he got home bit of tough luck. Annie told me he had the offer of the same job as myself but he refused as he wanted to get out here i think he was a fool myself but I don't know what he will do now & am also sorry to hear about Poor Old George they tell me he foot is getting worse, & have seen Ern Cox pleased to say he is getting on alright, give Amy something for her Christmas present or if like her the money & let her get what she likes (5 dollars) I am enclosing 2 Cards for the girls Dolly & Elsie I have sent one to May by this mail, I guess the weather is getting cold there now out here is awful rain everyday & no signs of getting any better so as it is getting late I shall have to draw this letter to close hoping it will find you better than what you have been also the rest of them so wishing you all a happy Christmas.

Loving Son
