Dear Father,-

Just a couple of lines to thank you ever so much for the very fine parcel which I received today. I was extra pleased with the Xmas cards. They are very nice and every one who has seen them thinks they are fine. Nothing you could have sent could have pleased me more.

I would like a small shaving brush (a cheap one) next time you are sending me a parcel. I am well fixed for soap and tooth brushes powder etc. I will let you know when I am running short.

The cough tablets you are sending are very good and pleasant. They are very nice at night when I have to stand on post and cant smoke.

Will you let Doris know you have heard from me. I will write to her and home inside of a couple of days anyway. Have been having fine weather though cold at nights. Well must wind up to night as havnt any time for more just now. Again many thanks for the excellent parcel.

Your Loving Son
George
