Dear Mother:-

Received your very welcome letter with one of Philip's enclosed dated May 10th. You enclosed a picture of Arthur Row which I think must be meant for Dad as I rec'd mine some time ago. I will give it to him on Saturday as I am expecting to go over that day.

Syd is in hospital at present, nothing serious, only boils, and a week's rest will do him good. I had a card from him today saying he expected to be out shortly. His transfer did not go through yet but it is bound to as Dad can claim him.

Well dear things are going on the same old way. I have been back to the battalion just on a month but I am fine so far.

Don't worry if my letters don't come as regularly as they used to as I cannot write at regular times but whenever I get the chance.

Well dear love to yourself and all

Jack
