Dear Mother

I guess you will have been thinking it funny that I had not written before but we had orders to move the middle if the week an did not like to write till we were sure, but we are first ready to leave barracks to go away at 7.15. We are going to Pathawawa for a couple weeks and often proceed overseas with a bunch of artillery. I do [?] know what unit we [?] be attached to first [?] write you as [?] we get to our destination and find out what they are going to do to us. I am sending a couple of snaps of Mervin and me, he has just been like a brother to me and I always felt like being home when I was at his place. There has been a big bunch of girls promised to come down to see us off. Well I will have to close Astberry is here to take our stuff away.

Good bye for now

Love to all
