Dear Dad:

Thanks for your recent letters and news of home at Christmas - wish I had been there. Thank mother for Christmas parcel with candy etc. I also received one from Knox and Scarboro.

Mrs. Broomfield was very thoughtful in sending me handkerchiefs etc.
Have you heard from Adelene or Ross recently? Ida was paying you a visit lately wasn't she?

No news of importance - just ploughing the seas and getting a little older every day!
Had a Christmas card from Bill Edwards and wife the other day.

Met Lt. Charles Hurst RCNVR at Glasgow railway station a few weeks ago but was in such a hurry could only speak to him for a minute. He recognized me first - I though he looked vaguely familiar! I believe he married Freda McKinnon but I'm not sure.
Don't expect wonders in the line of mail from now on - but keep yours coming!

Love

Bill
