ROYAL NAVAL AIR STATION
YEOVILTON, SOMERSET

June 25, 1941

Dear Dad:

Hope the farm is OK! and that you are enjoying life. I have been a non-operational dead heat pilot for six months now, so I'm doing my best to get back first line. Will get too soft doing this cushy job, so should go back before I get too old.

I should very much like to see your garden at 1608 and look over the sun flowers. Jean and Ronny must shed a lot of light around the old home. How about some pictures of Mother, Dad and the family! I want to be able to recognize you after the "War."

Got in five hours today flying, so will be able to sleep providing Jerry doesn't pay the drome a visit! How is the car standing up?

The Ark Royal is still about - and will probably live to die of old age and piston slap. Heard a good story about some German prisoners in Ark who said it couldn't be Ark Royal - Ah! You English manufacture another one!

Best of Love

Bill

Some of the cigarettes are still coming through. Thanks!
