air raid early this morning. revellie 6.00 breakfast 7am. fine & sunshiney morning. wrote letters to Louie Mother & George. on guard at church. Major Avery had supper with us on way from hospital.

Saturday, June 2nd, 1917

went for rations. on wheel. revellie 6.30am Breakfast 7am. got letter from Mother & Louie. fine day but cool evening Louies letter May 10th/17. Mothers letter May 13/17

Sunday, June 3rd, 1917

big air battle at 5am revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am rather cool morning & cloudy. fine afternoon air battle 5Pm went to Y.M.C.A. Service at 7Pm stayed to communion 8Pm

Monday, June 4th, 1917

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am very fine day the sun shining fine. on guard at Old Church. wrote letters to Louie & Mother. lovely evening aeroplane fell by Y.M.C.A. 2 killed

Fritz dropped quite a few bombs around here about 2am. Revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am very fine morning went for rations on wheel. on guard at old Church. got parcel from Mother & sisters dated May 14/17 very heavy Bombardment about 8Pm

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am very heavy thunder storm in the night. rather dull morning but not raining. on guard at Church men nearly took their Packs away. Shower about 5.30Pm

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am fine morning. on guard at Old Church. heavy bombardment last night. lovely evening. wrote letter & service card to Mother & also letter to Louie. got 2 letters from Aunt Annie dated Apl 26 & May 17

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am fair morning. went for rations on wheel about six miles there and back very fine afternoon & evening wrote letters to Aunt Annie & Elsie. fine Sunday evening

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am rained nearly all night but very warm day. wrote letters to George & May Mason Showery evening Still Church Guard

Thursday, June 21st, 1917

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am dull morning went for rations on wheel. for church guard. posted letters to Canada to Louie Mother Annie Aunt Annie May Mason & George took 5 men off Church guard left 1 man and myself very dull & wet

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am rained nearly all night dull day. shower about 9am very muddy. went for rations long walk in mud. quite showery just one man & myself left at Church guard

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am went for rations on wheel. rather cloudy but nice morning. got parcel from Louie dated May 31st. rather cool evening C. Co brought packs into Old Church to go up line

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am went for rations on wheel fine morning but cool. Changed orders for Frs 39 Mothers order dated May 14th Louies order dated Apr 13/17 Paymaster got cablegram his wife died yesterday still guard at Church

Thursday, June 28th, 1917

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am wet morning but turned fine. we moved all packs back about 20 miles for 4 weeks rest. still on guard. fine little town people very sociable treated to wine, eggs & coffee. rained 8Pm

Friday, June 29th, 1917

revellie 6.30 Breakfast 7am fine morning. fine crops coming down yesterday. big bunch cavalry passed through this morning first I saw since coming to France people gave us eggs for breakfast, lettuce and strawberries for supper bought sissors yesterday
