Dear Mother:-

We have had a very enjoyable day on the train. We have had a great welcome all along the line. Town band was out at Kenora. We saw Mrs. Blair at Ignace but we did not need the tea as we were just having supper.

We have tourist cars so we'll be able to get lots of sleep. We get lots of grub. We have a cook car with men told off to draw the grub. The sergeants and officers eat in the dining car.

We have the same routine as in barracks.

We're getting off the train at Fort William for breakfast, then exercise at 9 a.m.
