Dear Mother:-

Rec'd your welcome letter last night, also a Jack Canuck. I rec'd some Saturday Evening Posts from Grandad.

I saw Frank's picture on Sunday when I was over to see Dad and I got mine last night.

Dad's unit has got fine quarters fixed up with every convenience. I had supper with him in the Sgt's mess and it was one of the best meals I've had in France.

Syd is still with the battalion and has his team in the pink of condition.

Uncle Arthur will be in England now. I guess he has big ideas. Well good luck to him.

So Ernie Sparrow is married at last. He always swore he would never do it.

Well dear the day after tomorrow will be our 8 months in France.

Give my love to all.

Jack
