Dear Violet:-

I suppose you are looking for this letter well here it is. I guess you saw in the paper about the big parade last Wednesday if you have got that paper yet. It sure was some parade and had to stick out for 12 miles. The first time I ever walked that far in my life and I was pretty weary when I got in. The next day we went up town to get recruits for the 95th. They got 75 I believe. Next week or rather this week we are going to get our overseas equipment. Then we will be walking around with a pack on our back. I had a box this morning from mother. I think this is all this time.

Jay.
