Dear Mother:-

I am having a streak of luck on Friday I received two letters from you and one from Grace written on the Maccasa. And to-day (Sunday) there was a big Canadian mail in and two more letters for me, one from you and one from Violet from Gull Lake. I am looking forward for another box soon the last one was very good but also very small but I suppose they will grow in time. C Company is very busy just now we finished our musketry on Saturday and are going down to the ranges at Hythe for a week's shooting. Yesterday morning there was a big review of all the Canadian troops in Shorncliffe by Sir Adam Hughes. I haven't had any leave yet. Our Battalion expect to go to Bramshot soon to join the 5th Division. The 98th are at Otterpool about four miles from here I hope to go down soon and see Bob Action and some of the others from St. Kitts. Last night I was in Brigade star gazing piquet as they call it that is a guard for air raids but for a wonder we weren't called out. Haven't seen Art for quite a long time now. This will be all this time. Love to All.

Jay.
