Dear Mom & Dad --

So you received my second letter. I would like to know how long it takes for mail to get to you. It takes anywhere from 7 to 11 days to get out here. Yours of the 29th got here on the 8th. I also got a lovely card from Jim with a few lines inside.

I did not answer either until tonight because I was waiting for our cards that we ordered to come in. I ordered a dozen. They cost me $1.80. When I saw them, I thought they were swell, and I wish I had ordered more of them. However, the 12 worked out fairly well. I sent 1 to Jim, 2 home (1 for you & Dad and 1 for all the folks), 1 to Mrs. Pyke, 3 to girls, 1 to Grant & the boys at Prince Rupert, to Alex at Sea Island, to the old Coke Plant, to Aunties Bea & Em, and 1 to the club.

I just heard the "Camoshun" whistling. It came in from P.R. on its way to Vancouver. It takes 3 days to go down. Stops here every ten days.

I would like to write more but I'll have to run to get these cards on the boat.

So long for now --

Joe
