Somewhere-in-France
April 22,1917

Dear Folks:

Just a line to let you know that I'm in France at last. We left England ---(censored - date)--AM and got here -- the base--_(censored)--today. We had a good time coming over and are real comfortable here. I don't know what our next move will be but we'll probably be here for quite awhile. almost all of our old bunch are here except Mac & Jaf. The weather has been great lately and France looks good for a start. They feed us everything we want and I'm feeling fine.

I think Mac & the rest will al be over soon. We had to revert to get over do don't forget to put Pte. next time. Send them thru' the Army P.O. as before and I'll get it just as quick. We are with the 1st C.M.R.'s. Jack Beaton is here somewhere but I haven't seen him yet.

I'll write in a few days and let you know the latest.

Love to everybody

Bill
