Work parties all day. Carrying to front companies. A Coy relieved B in line at dusk. Just getting settled when Pineapple dropped in trench and killed Stretcher Br. Pte. ZACKISON, wounded Sgt. PAWSEY, both of my platoon. Also two other B Coy men wounded. PAWSEY died at dressing station. I took over all the front posts. On duty from midnight until 8 A.M.
