Toronto February 16, 1916 Dear Mother: Your box came to-day just as I came in at noon. I guess it will be all gone before lights out to-night. The doughnuts are fine and I did not go over for dinner or supper to-day. This afternoon the signalers and some of the battalion went up to the Khakie Club for a swim we were away all afternoon. I was up to Aunt Florrie's last night for supper and Grace was her typewriter. To-day was pay day and I got a cheque for 5.00 so will put in a pass on Friday and if I get it I will be home on the 6:30. I don't thin I could get there sooner. I haven't very much to say this time so I guess this is all. Love to all. Jay
