Dear Father:

Just a few lines today I don't seem to feel like writing much today but will thank you for the $500 which I got a few days ago I am writing to Jessie today there are always so many around making so much noise that it is hard to settle down after coming out of the line I tell you money comes in very handy. here I had a nice box of cake and fudge from Ellen also a pair of gloves those gloves you sent me last fall are dandy they are just as soft as dress gloves. I keep them well oiled. we had a very mudy trip in the line last trip lots of rain

I guess those pictures that we had taken are not going to come. unless you get them at home. the past master here told me that they had gone but it you have not gotten them before this they most likely will go now, I am sorry they got lost I think they would have been good we all had our hats off. but perhaps I will have one of myself before long well I will finish Jessies letter you as me if the way the election [?] [?] well I guess it does the of us How is business this winter? I guess I will say good night

Love to All
Aff Son Don
