Dear Father:

Well I came to London last Friday night have until tomorrow night and have been having a great time. Bill Hanna has been here for three weeks but had to go back to Shorncliffe this a.m. he is looking fine is taking out a commission so he won't be at the front again for three or four months well I'll tell you a little of what I have been doing since I came up here. Saturday we went through the National Art Gallery. Sunday we had a guide he took us out to South Kensington through all the museums. We had a great time there all the old swords and spears of all kinds, all kinds of animals and birds it is a great place to come if you want to see old stuff. We went out there by underground train. Monday we started out with another guide we went through St Pauls Cathedral and the Tower of London I got some post cards of it I will send. the afternoon we went to the Mansion House we were invited there to have lunch with the Lord Mayor of London but he had to be out but we had tea there just the same they treated us great they gave each one of us a box of cigarettes after tea. that was all for that day I guess. Tuesday with another guide we went to Buckingham Palace. West Minster Abby. and Y.M.C.A. for dinner. After we went to see the King's horses and carriages and harnesses. one carriage we saw was 155 years old. it is a dandy. his barns are fixed up like horses better than most of them and then we went to the house of Parliament. we got there just as they were having session so one of the members got tickets for us only five of us and went in for two hours. he asked us to have Lunch with them at the house of Parliament so we did had a fine lunch. they took us all through the house told us everything they were awfully nice could not have been better. so we had some lunches with some pretty classy people. and today we went through the wax works and the zoo gardens. so I think we have see about all we can this time. it would cost a fellow something if he wasn't a soldier to see what we have. but it did not cost as much. hope you don't get tired reading this stuff. a lot of the fellows had to go back to camp on account of getting broke I only had three pounds. that's only $15.00 about and I got along fine on that but some fellows would be broke if they had $50.00 like N. Logan

Suppose Sadie will be married by the time this reached you. hope she doesn't think she is old I have a snap of her I showed it to a fellow the other day. he said she looked to be about sixteen I said she was. hope you get the cheque as you will you can use it all you want to for Sadie. Spence said you could use his so get her something pretty nice but I leave that to you. I don't think I have any more to tell you. but we have had a dandy time in London. the people have used us so nice.

well have to say good night I think I will got to a show tonight with Love to All.
