Dear Jessie:

Well Jess here I am again with nothing to write. I was in the trenches when I got your last letter but I guess I answered it I did'nt get any last week.

Spencer is Sending a watch home which he got off of a German

Mr Chorlwood is out here tonight he says his wife is back home. is she the same old woman.

Well I suppose you are having great sport this Summer Playing tennis and with the boys and their Cars I don't know whether the Germans are getting tired of fighting or not but I guess moste of our boys are. but I guess we can hang out as long as they can. I hate to write letters here the have to be read over by the officer. I guess as Spencer is writing tonight I will stop and try and write more next time with heaps of Love to all Don
