My Dearest Jessie:

Just a few lines to let you know I am still holding my own. I wrote father a few lines a few days ago I expected a letter from you today but did not come there is not very much to write about. we have been working pretty hard this last month or so driving the hun we have him on the run, and will keep him going I guess. I have been in every scrap that the old Batt has been in since Vimy these are sure the biggest we were ever in. I hope it will soon end. now some think it will end this fall but it's pretty hard to say or tell much about.

How is everything going? I suppose Vida has gone to Hfx I was just talking to Stan I guess he is in for a good job at Bde. he was not in the last show.

I suppose Skinner will soon be over here. I had a letter from him a while ago. I guess Melvin White was wounded this last trip in. I guess I told father that Charley was back with us again. you will see his sig on this letter. Just the same Charley

How is Gower getting along with Miss Francis. is that her name? Have you ever answered the ladies letter you got from Scotland. I don't hear from her but from a younger one.

Some one told me that Vic was going out west is that so?

Have you heard anything about Munroe Lindsay? I guess he is in Blightly. we have lost a lot of officers and men lately. well there is not very much to write about hope to hear from you soon
bye bye

Lots of Love to All
