LETTER FROM FRANK DAVIDSON(FROM FRANCE)

Pte J.F. Davidson, who is with the 50th Battalion, Canadian Infantry, writes to his sister, Miss Jessie Davidson, Camborne, as follows:

Dear Sister:
Yours of recent date to hand a few days ago, but you will know by now that we are somewhere in reach of the big ones. But we are real old soldiers now can sleep with big ones roaring on each side. Now we know what real war is like, but I don't worry although my work may be hard and long hours and sleep with all your clothes and boots on. I get about three night's sleep in a week, the other nights hauling grub. Well this is sure a beautiful country and one awful place for mud when it rains. Well, I guess that's about all I can write to-night. I got a parcel from cousin Wallie the other day and tell her thanks for me and don't worry about me. I am well and happy and I am going to come back alright. Best regards to all, I remain yours as ever,
FRANK.
Will write from time to time as I have a chance.
