France January 06, 1917 Dear People. I expect to rejoin my battalion to-morrow; and hope to find some mail waiting for me. It has seemed very strange to go for over a week without getting anything from anybody. However, the work here has been rather interesting, and what with reading and talking, and an occasional stroll after hours I have managed to fill in the time and stave off homesickness. Which doesn't mean that I wouldn't give my last sou at Cox's Bank for the sight of your dear faces. Your ever-devoted Bun.
