Dear Margaret;

You could never guess how sorry I was to hear about Murray, and that the news came during your trip.

Let this comfort you, dear, that your pure love was a great help to him in his dark hours, for that is the best incentive a young man can have.

If you should come home sooner and wish to see me, have someone phone Geldart’s on Elm St. and they will deliver the message.

All differences we may have had, dissolve in this hour and you are just my dear chum in trouble.

Please excuse writing as this pen is nearly worn out.

With much love,
Blanche.
