Diary

Up at 5 AM, took up our new position in Battle Line forward of present firing lines.
Usual routine through the day.
I had a work party of 125 again in same place as last night.
Got through at 10:20 and on way home were shelled. Two men - Molloy and Shultz of No. 4 - were wounded and Peterson badly shell-shocked. Had to remain behind to get them out. Both had bad wounds but not real serious.
Cold in morning but nice afternoon.
