Camp Hughes
Oct. 25/16
Dear Mother

Well Mither this is my last from here and it is not a bit sorry I am either. The old camp is a rather deserted burg tonight only about 4 or 5 battalions left in camp. They are going out 3 or 4 per day now and our turn comes at 9.30 tomorrow. We leave for overseas but when and where we sail from or to is unknown to us. I sent Frank a Post card this morning and he said he would meet me at the train. I had a letter from him yesterday. He expects to be in Wpg for two or three weeks yet at least. I had expected to get a letter from home today but nothing doing. So I guess I will have to wait a whole month for any letters now. But keep on writing every week so I will get them as per usual after I get there.

I am sending you a copy of "The Week." the battalion news paper. There are some prettty good things in it. A few jokes on myself into the bargain. I also bought a Battn. picture which will be forwarded to you by mail from Rembrants Studio.
