ROYAL CANADIAN DRAGOONS.
15,581, Cpl. M. WELSH.
Presumed Died 30.3.18.

"He was in my Squad and his Christian name was Murray. He was about 5'1`0", well built, dark, and aged about 28. He had received the D.C.M. and was promoted to Sergeant very shortly before being a casualty. About a week later I met farrier, Cpl. S. Corry, B. Squad who told me that he saw Welsh killed, but gave no details. Cpl. Corry was on leave when I left the Squad about 16th November. We were pushed back after the attack at Moreuil and our dead had to be left behind."
