My Dear Mother,

Well how is the weather now? I suppose it is pretty chilly and the thermometer down pretty low at times. Mac Woods has the measles and the whole hut is quarantines for a few days to see if any more cases break out. He hadn't been feeling well for a couple of days and when we went up for medical inspection the Doctor turned him down on account of having a rash on his body. There hasn't been any more cases break out yet and I guess we will be out in a couple of days. We are having a little rest. The Doctor told us to take exercise every day so we get a ball and play football. I am doing my washing today so as to be ready to move to Bramshott at any time. It is reported that we are going on Monday and I think it is official this time. We are going there for a few weeks training.

I have just got my hair cut off short. It is the best way so we can wash our hair every day. It has been fine weather here lately with not very much rain. Our company was out on a route March the other day of twenty miles but we missed it seeing we were in quarantine. Well I think this is all the news this time. With love to all.

From your loving son
Jim
