Dear Aunt Becca,

We have just arrived in Halifax today at 12.30 and we have gone into barracks for a few days until a boat comes in for us. We are in a big warehouse built on a pier in the harbor and freight boats are being loaded up on both sides of us and all along the harbor is full of boats. It is quite a sight. I had that operation done before we left, but I couldn't get time off to come over. It made me feel a bit shakey for a few days, but feel better now. We have all enjoyed our trip very much this far. I will write before we leave here if I get time. Hope you are well.

With best love,
Bert
