Dear Mom & Dad:

Just a little line to let you know that I received your parcel OK.

I havent been out one evening since leave. All the spare time I have is devoted to study. Mathematics is the subject at present, but I will soon have them finished. The next subject will be English. Boy, am I kicking my behind that I did not take more interest in these things when going to school.

A letter from Wannie and Phill reached me last week. I still have it to answer.

The days over here are becoming noticeably longer and warmer. Sunday was just like Easter would be home, everyone seemed to be on the streets parading up and down. And they certainly can parade in this town. Most of the citizens consists of retired business people, and when they turn out, they turn out in good shape.

I had better cut this short and dig into my studies as JC seems to be crawling up on me. I am a book ahead of him and aim to stay there. Tell Wannie that I will answer her letter as soon as I get an opening and in the mean time to keep writing. Her letters describing the antics of the kids leaves nothing to the imagination.

Thanks for the parcel.
Lots of love
Boyley
