Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I am well and getting along fine but we are having lots of drill. We are certainly having fine weather here now and its lovely and warm.

How did Charlie get along in Halifax he ought to be home by this time.

They haven't been after Perc to go in the soldiers yet have they I heard the exemptions were no good now for there are some here now that had them.

As we don't get out around in the evening I haven't any news for to write so I guess I will close for this evening as I have to make my bed.

So Good Bye for this time

Allan.

P.S. Don't' get tired reading those long letters.
