21-3-18.

Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I got your letter and am feeling fine only I am tired of this place already. We were only out two nights since we came over here but we get about a six mile rout march every day so that's all we get out now.

A lot of the boys had spinal menigitis that's what we were quarantined for but there isn't anyone taking it now so I think it will be lifted Saturday.

What is the matter with Herb Mason now that he had to go under the operation? Did Charlie get home yet? And how did he get along? I think you had better send me a telegram some time about the middle of the week saying some of you are very sick as I would like to get home for a week and that's the only condition they will give a pass on so be sure and send it or get the doctor to send one if you don't get a letter from me before 27-3-18.

Well I guess I will close as that's all I ant you to do for me this time. Hoping you are all well.

Good Bye

Allan

P.S. Tell Frank I will write to him after a while
