Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I got two of your letters this evening and was very glad to hear from you, but I got no parcels yet. I thought to hear Charlie talking one Sunday over there he wasn't making money enough for to keep a wife and he is going to get married now when he won't make as much.

How in the world did Dada ever make up his mind to sell old Barney he must be making a few dollars on them when he is sold the two. I suppose there will be a big line at Carver's the day of the big celebration. I suppose [?] don't know which end of her is up now.

We had a fine rain here today the first for a long time.

Well I guess I will close for this time hoping to hear from you soon. Write Soon.

Good Bye

Allan
