Dear Mother:-

Just a few lines to let you know I am well and getting along fine. I got away on leave on Friday we were only in London about four hour on our way to Scotland while I was there a guide from the Y.M.C.A took us away for a drive in the afternoon and showed us through the bloody tower of London where we saw all the wars of long ago.

We next went to Westminster Abby were we saw the tombs of a lot of the Crown Heads I can't name them as it would take about a week. We had to catch the train at 7.00P.M. for Scotland so that's all I could see there we got in Edinburgh at 5.30A.M. Saturday so we went out to the zoo in the afternoon and I am going out to see the Troith[?] Brigade this afternoon. It is raining all the time but a fellow has to go around wet or fine when he has only six days.

Well as news is scarce I think I will close for this time write soon and tell me all the news.

Good Bye.

Allan
