My Dear Mother,

Well I'm out of Harewood House now and back on the squadron. Don is also out and came back with me. We have two weeks leave and intend to go to Bournemouth, Birmingham, Hawksworth's and then I'd like to spend a few days back at Harewood as she's pretty nice back there. Don has a friend who just came back from a week's leave. They only have five more trips to do and then through with ops. When I come back from leave I'll be a spare Bomb Aimer and will fly with any old crew-which I don't care very much to do.

My leg has been about the same for the past two weeks. Still lots of fluid and pretty flabby. I might have to have the fluid drained off when I get back from leave. I had a couple of letters from you saying you were very busy getting ready to go to Wadena. Apparently it seems like a very nice house. How's the plumbing? I also had a parcel from Aunt Laura and Edna and another letter from Catherine.

Don and I are going back to his station and will be staying there the night before going to Bournemouth. He is going to try to get his crew some leave.

Well I don't think I can fill this form up today so adios to you all.

Love,
George
