Supplement to Personnel Selection Record

INTERVIEWED AT 7 CDN. R PAT DEPOT: P.E. SURVEY 7 AUG. 45.

PLAN
(1) Make application for Vocational training in Auto - Mechanics.
(2) Former employment as a mill hand.

APPRAISAL OF PLANS

States that he has given the above plans some consideration and he feels that his security would be reasonably assured if he had a trade. He is not certain of employment as a mill hand with his pre-war employers because of an injury which incapacitated him two years prior to enlistment.

Military background indicates that this soldier has some mechanical ability as he was employed as a gun fitter. Seems to be a serious thinking and ambitious man who has given the future some thought. The possibility of contacting his former employer was discussed with him however he indicated a preference for Voc. Trg.

FURTHER CONSELLING

This soldier is likely to return home with other ideas. However if he is of the same attitude prior to discharge, suggest he be encouraged to take advantage of Voc. Training
