Dear Mother

Received your [ever?] welcome letter dated the 12th [?] and certainly was glad to hear from home.

There is very little news to relate except to say that the exhibition was very good but really only a side show to the Toronto Ex. One of our guns was on exhibit and attracted considerable attraction.

I was there one night answering foolish questions such as was this the guns the Canadians captured from the Germans and so on.

We have started to learn how to ride and have been to the riding school twice allready and I certainly do enjoy it except for the soreness afterwards.

Well mother as I am to go Battery Orderly all next week and will have plenty of time on my hands you can expect lots of mail. I may as well say that I am feeling well and have just got rid of a nice cold.

Lots of love to all at home I am your loving son.

Bill J.
