Dear Mom:

Received your parcel with the bottle of medicine, really good. It certainly didn't last long but it was good. We get Gap beer over here, which isn't bad or very numerous.

We've had it pretty easy here for some time. We go swimming as much as possible. There's always a stream where we can get ducked. Just now were positioned by a dam, it's a swell place for swimming and getting a sun tan.

I'm still waiting for my leave, it's something to look forward to. I should get it the next draft.

By the news in the paper it seems as if this “do” will be packed up soon, I'll believe it when we head out of Korea.

The weather here is hot and clear, we haven't had much rain so far. I don't know what happened to the rainy season.

I'm still going strong feel okay, I don't think I'll be able to sleep in a house again. Even sleeping on the ground feels soft now.

I'll send back the check, I don't need. Go out and get drunk on me.

Ed.
