My Dear Wife & Children:

Well we are in Old England at last we had quite a time getting here of which I will tell you later when we are settled everything just now is at sixes & seven's so have not much time to write - It is a beautiful spot, we arrived last night after 12 PM so did not see much, we had quite a night march up & down hills through mud etc. etc. it was after 2 am before we could lie down, just sending my address now & will write a long letter as soon as possible. Well my dears how are you all? - in fancy I kiss & hug you write lots of letters, with my dear, dear, love, God bless & keep you my dearest wife & Shirley little daughter be Mother's little helper & Billy my son you take care of Mother & be good to Shirley. Good, Bye sweethearts.
