Dear Violet:-

Had a big mail this morning and my share was two letters and a small parcel. The parcel I believe was from Williamson St. School or something like that but I can't make out who the sender was at the label was torn and the box pretty well battered. So you had better tell Jessie to thank her teacher and the kids as I can't make out the name. Your letter was some size and was very interesting. Hurrah here is another box just come in and a nice size one it is too. As I will try and finish this letter before opening it your letter was some size as I said before. But [?] you have it on me. I can't fill up space by drawing cartoons. So Aunt Elizabeth has gone to Vancouver has she. I don't suppose she will receive my letter with the picture of my platoon in it. My other letter was from Mother. I can imagine Bruce trying to make you believe that that word was bum and not Bon but he is wrong as it is supposed to be what you took it for. So Bruce is going to Jordan for Easter is he. Oh how I would like to go with him, but I guess it will be the front line for my East Holiday. Its muddy enough out now but it's raining too so we are looking forward to a nice juicy trip when we go in to-night. I will close now Violet and be sure and send some more of that candy.

Lots of love to all at home,
Jay
