Dear Mother:-

Your box came on Sunday and was all gone by Sunday night. I will come home this week end if I can get off and am not on guard. But you will have to send me some money about 3.00. I guess to come home on. Last Saturday night our company was up town and we had Monday afternoon off. Is Jessie over the measles yet perhaps I should not come if she isn't. This afternoon we had bayonet fighting. I think the weather is going to get warmer now I hope it is as I am tired of the cold. It will not be long now before we are going into summer quarters. I haven't much more to tell so I guess I will close hoping I can see you on Saturday.

Your Son,
Jay
