Dear Mother:
Well I went to Moose Jaw to see Melville I suppose he has told you all about it. The fellow who was supposed to pick me up hurt himself so he didn't even go to Moose Jaw. I am sort of a disappointed guy seeing as how after we had taken our medical this afternoon and everything and then to be told the draft had been canceled. It sure is quite a let down when Melville and I had planned to paint Regina red. I guess there isn't enough room for us in I.T.S yet I it maybe a week or a month before we get there but I will be getting a 48 next weekend but I suppose Melville will have left before then. I haven't heard anything about me being AWOL this morning so far and I don't think I will either I hope. I just thought I would drop you a few lines and let you know what had happened. Will write on Sunday.
