Apr 7, 1916 Dear Jim & Ada, Received your letter OK. Glad to hear you are getting along alright. Well I guess you will be surprised to hear that we have moved to another part of the line. We have been nothing but marching this last week. We have got a lot of your boys coming with us this next month. I didn't get a chance to speak to any of them yet. They sure look a fine bunch of men. I think we are going to have a pretty tough time of it. Oh well, let them all come. I never seen a Fritz yet I was scared of but it is them Jack Johnson shells, I think anybody would bite the sandbags when they come over the trench. Well today is the 18th, you will notice I started on your letter on the 7th, the day we went in, but I didn't have time to finish it. But I am glad to say I am still kicking. I am going to see Gerald today as they are going in tonight, so I will send him your best wishes. I am enclosing a couple of snapshots. I am on one of them. I don't think there is any more this time. Hoping this letter finds you in the best of health as it leaves me the same. With love from Bro Sid Say Jim, I am celebrating the 12th hoping everything goes well. Good luck. Sid.
