Mon. May 14 -

It rained a little during night, but is pleasant this morning. Are not permitted to work around guns at all in daylight. Slept most of day. Not very many shells came over. In evening, we went over to Vimy village which must at one time have been very pretty and got a few planks for our gun pit. Made a good deal of progress on the empalement. We used another gun and fired about 200 rounds during the night.
