Fri. May 4 -

Germans did little firing today. We registered on a new zone in afternoon and in evening were busy on an S.O.S. Fritz is putting up a hard and stubborn fight. Weather is simply glorious and tho rather tired, partly the spring tired feeling, I suppose and rather sleepy, I am feeling real well. Did not get boots off at all last night, but shall tonight. Firing on this S.O.S. is pretty steady. Germans must be making a strong counter attack on our infantry and it is necessary for us to put up a heavy barrage to cut them off.
