This is just a line to answer a few questions about socks. Personally I like the ones you are sending and I dont think those without heels would be so comfortable, as they would "bunch "up" and blister, I think.

We are in rest billets now for some time and it's great. Back in a farm house with all the pigs and chickens, and green grass fields.

I have Boswell with me again and "Dick". Today I rode around the billets and Dick is in fine form.

On our way here I saw Jim Macdonell and Jeff Craig and hope to see Hank soon. It's only about six more weeks until I'm due for leave. The time goes fairly quickly.
