On Active Service

Dear Sister Ona, -

Received your letter of March 29 a few days ago and got the chronicle you sent me last night.

I am well at present and hope you all are well also.

The weather here is getting like summer all the time, and it is quite dusty at present.

I am getting along all right so far, and am working every day out here I have not been in the Front line trenches yet and am not likely to till we are sent to the Battalion. I am living under the ground here. Got about seventy five steps to climb to get to the top. By the way I have not got any Germans yet. But I see quite a few prisoners. My address is the same. I am going to write home to night so I will close for this time.

With Love to All

From Arthur
