Dear Sister,

It is over a week since I received your letter. you are right to day I got four letters and a parcel from L.W. Mum is the word. This is Canadian mail day.

I am well now, although I was sick with a cold and I am working these days so I do not think I am gaining [?] these days. I certainly have all I want to do these days It would take a couple of sheets to tell you all I have to do in a day so I will not endeavor to detail it to you. But we are on the jump all day and sometimes on duty then at night. No our transfers did not go through and Roland has gone to France. I thought also that the photo in which I had my cap on was the better. I received the underwear this week, I think it was about monday of this week or perhaps earlier. The candy was jake but among such a hungry bunch that you only get a taste. It is always finished about two minutes after you open it.

I saw a report of that rugby game in the paper and it certainly was a raw deal as I think your boys should be given a fair chance as they have the odds against them.

I have been knocking around some with Bert & Harold and they have given me all the news from Hulbert. I answered Carrie Ellis letter last night.

So Carrie J and Verne fell out and then he started with Kate. Whether he done it on purpose or not, boy he could not have done anything worse to get Carrie's goat than to take Kate out. I had a letter from Constance a couple of weeks ago and it was a good one too.

It is beginning to get Close to Christmas and I suppose you are planning on having a good time during the holidays. I do not know what I will do, as I hear that the passes may all be cancelled as they claim it holds up the train traffic and hinders the transportation of the munitions.

I received a letter to night dated Sept 30 from Edith Cowen, hush again so I guess it has been to France.

I sent some Cards and I hope you will get them. I have had some badges and things to send but they are so small I cannot send them unless I have something to make it larger as they would only get lost.

Say I got a bundle of papers. They were Calgary papers, Jack Canucks and an Eye Opener and I never thought but what they had come from home, so wrote and told mother then I got a letter in a few days from the Hat saying they had sent them, so I may as well tell you that it came from Jane in Med Hat.

Well Lillian I do not know of any think else to say so will close and I have to answer a letter of Myrtle's when I get a chance, so hoping to hear from you soon and don't forget the line of marriages of those old hens and [?] so good bye.

With Love
From your Brother
Hadden
