Dear Sister,

Well I received your letter a few days ago, just as I was getting into the line so had not a chance to answer it until I came out. We were in for about two weeks but all came out jake although it got rather warm at times.

I guess we shall be going from the Machine Gun back to the Reg pretty soon now. I had a letter Callum the other day also card among the snaps. I think they are real good. It certainly looks nice now, when one is so far away from any thing like that. We have had plenty of rides lately but they were over very rough roads.

Tell Leana that if she is to busy with her society engagements why I shall come back and help her out. She think that her letters make me sick then I guess she must want to write to some of those guys that she rides around with in cars. Does she think Victor is going to get Jeannie? I think there will be plenty of time to get [?] after I get back before Victor does anything like that.

Well you have conscription it will get a lot of those guys around the towns doing nothing and some of the fellows who used to throw it into me when I spoke of enlisting.

I may get leave to Paris before many months but I don't know whether I shall put in for it or not. All the [fold in letter makes one line unreadable]. there report a good time.

I got a parcel from the Collegiate about a month ago, also one from Constance the other day. I received a third parcel of papers mother sent. I got one when I was in the line and they came in handy as I had some time to pass [?] up there.

Did you and Constance go to sylvan to ask for your holidays? You and Dalton must be having a very busy time with all that line stock.

You speak as if your orders are very good in comparison with the most of them. Zellran said that you had some trouble with Old Steve.

Well we are all in the tent here and it is raining the boys are wrestling and making an awful noise! We have to go up on a working party to-night so I guess they will not be so lively to-morrow if we have much to do.

While we were up the line there was a lot of attack pulled off say that barrage is something wonderful. Your friends at the Calgary Exhibition are not in it at all.

I have never heard from Victor for ages and would like to know if he is getting that money. I think I shall write him again. I have written several times but never got an answer yet. I suppose he is too busy with that car. Have you got yours yet. I think an Aeroplane is the best reg. I am going to try again for a transfer.

Well it is nearly supper time so I guess I will close. My address is same as usual so good bye will write soon.

From your Brother,
Hadden
