Dec 30

Dear Mother:-

Received yours of Dec 3 yesterday with negatives.

We spent a dandy Xmas here. We had all the turkey and pudding we could eat and in the afternoon we were given invitations through the YMCA , to homes in Godalming. I was late in putting my name in so I got a bid to a Church social in Godolming. But I didn't get home until half past midnight and it started at 4PM. so you see how much fun there must have been.

Well it is now Dec 31. If I keep on I ought to finish before the end of the year, although it only has 3 hours more to go. Tomorrow is a holiday and I suppose it will be my luck to be put on guard but I don't care. I have had quite a few holidays lately. I told you about our bombardier being a son of the Rev Mr.McNeid who boarded with us, didn't I. He is an awful nice fellow I am sending you a YMCA Xmas card. I send Sis our Xmas menu but couldn't get another so she will send it to you. The snap was taken outside our hat. Well I have only one sheet so must close.

Lovingly
Ludlow
