Mrs Henry Johns

Elimville Ont. Can.

Dear Mother:- I did not write you any letter last Sunday as I thought we might be going up the line this week so I thought I would write when we did hear something about it. Well when we came in off the hill to-day we were told to br ready for medical exam at 6 P.M. to-night as we were to leave to-morrow. The first draft went to-day so we will be close after them. Ed Kellet went with it and McFalls also I'll bet his mother will do some quear tricks when she hears that he has gone up. But going up now does not say that we will see much before Feb. at least that is what is thought up here. Jackson and I both have a slight cold but that is common here everybody has a cold. I don't know where we will spend Christmas day now maby carring a pack somewhere. Anyway we will get some mail at last. The weather is bad we had a snow storm to-day at noon. It looked like home I wrote Addie last Sunday Maby you will get this the same time as they may come on the same boat You can't expect to get letters very regular as its only once in a while we can find a good place to write. Well Bye Bye for this time
