My Dear Mother

Recieved your parcel of cakes sent on Sept 17/17 & was sure pleased to get it. The boys here sure praise your cooking & I sure agree with them. I just wrote you the other day & gave you all the news. The wet weather here set in so the top boots will come in handy & I hope you sent size eight or nines as my feet have enlarged of late.

Well Mother excuse this short note. Am quite well & hope all are the same.

Your Loving Son

Roy.
